OUR HISTORY

Complete Personnel Logistics, Inc. is a stout branch on the proud Lucarelli family tree of companies that took root in Cleveland, Ohio in 1968. That was the year that Minute Men Staffing, Inc. was formed with $6,000.00 and one simple vision - to win clients' loyalty by re-defining the term "commitment to service" in the temporary help industry.

By 1972, Minute Men decided to respond to its customers' increasing needs to utilize qualified truck drivers on a temporary, and eventually on a permanent basis. Transportation Unlimited, Inc. thus became the first offshoot on what is today known as the Minute Men Human Resource System. As TU offices sprung up along America's interstate highways, TU drivers and clients alike learned that when it comes to work, "commitment to service" was more than a slogan for our associates - "commitment to service" was a creed. Vision intact.

After two decades of building strong customer relationships that now included a number of Fortune 500 companies, a new generation of family leadership began to wonder aloud if it would make sense to roll out the unique employment capacity of TU to all types of companies. It did. In 1990 Jason Lucarelli founded Complete Personnel Management, Inc. while manually calculating payroll deductions and hand-writing checks for a few leased employees that included bakers and plastic platers. In 1996 the payroll system that was handling upwards of 100,000 annual W-2 forms was enhanced to facilitate the stand-alone payroll services of yet another start-up, Complete Payroll Management, Inc.

By the end of the decade, CPM would be honored at Harvard University as one of America's 100 most successful inner-city companies. CPM's rock-steady growth did not go unnoticed locally either. Cleveland's own Case Western Reserve University named CPM to its Weatherhead 100 list of the region's fastest growing companies and inducted the Minute Men Group into the Family Business Hall of Fame.

Building upon the group's 20 years of workers' compensation experience, CPM Risk Management, Inc. began offering third-party administrative services in 1998. This company often works closely with 1-888-OhioComp, Inc., formed as an Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation-certified managed care organization (MCO) in 1997.

In 2003, the staffs of TU and CPM, who had always worked shoulder-to-shoulder, often in the same rooms, consolidated as Complete Personnel Logistics, Inc. As with all families, the years have brought fulfilling relationships and a colorful history. We are looking forward to the next 35 years and will never forget our roots. When customers call, we will be ready like the Minute Men to whom we owe our heritage!
